Our members package and distribute over 1,000 of these special friends annually to about 14 agencies in the Greater Sacramento area.
Fresh Start
Clothes for Careers
Acting as personal shoppers, members assist the women in choosing garments appropriate for job interviews and their anticipated work places.
Senior Friendship
Retirement community residents and senior center participants often have the time, talent, skills, and desire to contribute to the greater world. Senior Friendship acts as the link between those individuals and the agencies that most need the products of their labor.
Reaching Out
This program provides a flexible and/or rapid-response strategy by which Assistance League of Sacramento can respond to the needs of vulnerable individuals referred by a partner agency that does not fit within existing programs.
