Our members package and distribute over 32,000 of these special friends annually to about 13 agencies in the Greater Sacramento area.

Clothes for Careers

Acting as personal shoppers, members assist the women in choosing garments appropriate for job interviews and their anticipated work places.

Fresh Start

A community needs program that provides housing goods, cleaning supplies, clothing, newborn essentials, and other essentials to foster youth transitioning to independent living, as well as women who are victims of commercial sexual exploitation.

Operation School Bell® Elementary

AL Sacramento volunteers equip elementary school children with clothing, hygiene supplies, books — including diversity books for school libraries — and provide one-on-one literacy support to students who read below grade level.

Operation School Bell® Eyes Right

Eyes Right volunteers provide screening of preschool children to detect possible eye problems.

Operation School Bell® Middle School

AL Sacramento volunteers support students during school through English Language Development mentoring and an after-school “Snack and Solve” program, building meaningful academic and social connections.

Reaching Out

Designed to provide a flexible, rapid response to the needs of vulnerable individuals referred by a partner agency that does not fit within existing programs.

Scholarship

Scholarships supporting local community college students with financial need and difficult life circumstances who show real ability and dedication to their education.

Senior Friendship

Senior Friendship allows local crafters to use their skills by creating handmade items for seniors, veterans, and children in need. These finished pieces are distributed through partner nonprofits that support vulnerable community members.
